Many people that come to our clinic suffer from various digestive problems – these are generally treatable as long as we can get to the underlying autoimmune cause of the problem.
IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), “food allergies”, indigestion etc are all usually caused by an autoimmune reaction. The immune system reacts to either toxins or incubating virals locked mainly in the liver. The immune system starts to attack the liver and also the digestive tract by over-reacting to food.
The immune system overreacts to all food just some more than others. If you cut out the most reactive foods then your immune system tends to just start reacting to the next food in line, thus you get little or no relief.
These symptoms are often misdiagnosed as ‘food allergies’
As soon as enough toxins are eliminated from the liver or when the immune system is tuned into the incubating viral, the immune system will automatically stop attacking the digestive tract. Sometimes it is good to add probiotics (which will now work) and slippery elm powder (puts a mucus lining on the digestive tract) at this stage.
Incubating Virals
The more aggressive autoimmune reactions are usually caused by incubating virals in the liver. A common culprit in New Zealand is the Epstein-Barr virus (glandular fever) which just about always incubates in the liver after the initial infection phase. There are also many other virals that incubate eg Hepatitis B and C.
In order to deal with this, clients require a clinic session either at Silverdale or Whangarei.
It is possible to get totally out of these crippling autoimmune reactions – you just need to find out what your immune system is reacting too, within your body.
